In its efforts Viewfinder seeks to support children, from the underprivileged sections of society, who display a talent for art and photography, especiallythose native to Uttrakhand. A share of the proceeds from each sale has been committed to scholarships, counselling, and material support for the deserving and in need.

Viewfinder is the dream manifest of Rajan Kapoor, a photographer by choice, curiosity and creativity. He has held one-man shows at the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the Jehangir Art Gallery, Bombay. Rajan is a connoisseur ofart and culture and with his camera, has triedto capture the expanses of the Indian landscapeand its diverse stories. To his further credit arehis published books on photography like Pushkar and Chai.

By profession, he is a pioneer in the field of lighting, and his brands Golden Peacock and Kapoor Lampshades have a reputed domestic and global presence. Like someone remarked ‘he makes the lights and uses the light’.

Rajan has honed many a talent, these include singing and golf, gardening and designing products for his industry. However photography remains closest to his soul. For which he won has multiple National and international awards. His latest pictorial book ‘Chai’ has been awarded 'Best in the world' in world wide competition run by le-Cordon blue, France.The book is included in the Heritage list of UNESCO.
